The Women's Center at Payson Regional Medical Center offers complete health screenings, childbirth and support services for women of all ages. In addition, we've attracted physicians specializing in the unique obstetrical and gynecological needs of women.
Gynecological Exams are available through OB/GYN physicians or most family physicians. On average, women should receive an annual pap and pelvic exam every year once they reach the age of 18.
A variety of Gynecological Surgeries are offered at PRMC including:
• Incontinence and Vaginal Prolapse Procedures (replaces bladder suspension)
• Endometrial Ablation
• Laparoscopic Hysterectomy
Mammography Services are available five days a week at the Women’s Outpatient Imaging Center. The American Cancer Society recommends yearly mammograms starting at age 40. If you have a physician’s order, you may schedule your mammogram by calling 928-474-7762.
Obstetrical Services at PRMC include many special amenities for our patients who can enjoy the comfort of a home-like labor and delivery unit, as well as the peace of mind provided by advanced technology. All delivering moms have private rooms and receive a welcome gift upon the arrival of their baby. Childbirth education classes are also available to all moms-to-be.

Bone Mineral Density testing is offered through the Women's Outpatient Imaging Center. Osteoporosis is the loss of bone density or thinning of the bones. This thinning causes bone weakness and eventually, the involved bone may break. Bone loss in women usually occurs more rapidly after the onset of menopause. At PRMC, the bone mineral density test takes less than 30 minutes. If you have a physician's order, you may schedule your bone density test by calling 928-474-7762.

The Payson Regional Medical Center’s Family Birthing Center has been recognized by the Arizona Perinatal Trust. This certification is a quality improvement process that includes matching hospital capabilities and capacity to established guidelines through a self-assessment process and a site visit by a team of peer professionals. This voluntary certification process has resulted in improved perinatal outcomes. Being recognized with this professional designation demonstrates the high level of commitment and excellent patient care the Family Birthing Center delivers.
