Payson Regional Medical Center Welcomes First Baby of 2011

(PAYSON, Ariz. – January 5, 2011) Since 1957, Payson Regional Medical Center has delivered babies, and the first baby delivered in the New Year receives special recognition. On Sunday, January 2 Megan and Jeff Vandermeer became the proud parents of the first baby born at the hospital in 2011. Ryker Laine Vandermeer was born at 6:20 p.m. weighing 7 lbs and 1 oz.,  and 19 inches in length.  He is the second child of the Vandermeers, joining older brother “DJ.”

Jeff Vandermeer was home on leave from the Army, where he is serving oversees, to witness the birth of his son.
